Hello Hornet Family!!! My name is Nikki Doyen and I will be teaching 6th Grade Science. I am super excited to be your teacher and I look forward to getting to know each one of you. It is going to be a great year. 

I have been teaching for more than 15 years. I started my teaching career in Junior High and after 5 years I am pumped to be returning to Junior High. I have taught Reading and Math, but my passion is in science. I love being able to explore the mysteries that surround us every day and I love being able to share this passion with my students through everyday explorations, demonstrations and science experiments.   

This year we will learn about Matter, Force and Motion, Our Solar System, and other topics dealing with Physical Science. We will have unit assessments, informal assessments like pop quizzes, and we will even compete with other area schools in a Science Fair.  Below are the lesson plans for the week so you can check out what fun things we are learning about and doing.
