Dear Parents and Patrons,
Our theme of 212° degrees is well underway. Remember the concept is simple—“ At 211° degrees water is hot. At 212° degrees it boils, and with boiling water comes steam. With steam, you can power a locomotive. That one extra degree makes all the difference.”
I hope you’ve taken the time to view the video or read the book. Have you noticed the posters in our halls? Perhaps you’ve seen a teacher with a 212° degrees coffee mug. I was thrilled to see 212° degrees shoe-polished on the car glass of some of our band members before contest. In other words, the concept of that one extra degree making all the difference applies to all of us in everything we do.
As we approach the season for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I am mindful of how quickly our school year is progressing. We need your support of our school and students. There are several ways to help. Hooks Children’s Ministry is always there to lend a helping hand to our children. Please contact Mrs. Evelyn Yeager at the elementary if you would like to make a difference. Our Booster Clubs always need volunteers to assist. Sign up to substitute teach or become a substitute bus driver. Join us in “turning up the heat” to make a difference in the lives of our children.
I would like to close with an excerpt from the 212° degree book:
